We are very pleased to share that we have enough names to create our 10th bronze Wall of Honor plaque for Veterans Square Monument. The plaque will be created this summer, installed, and dedicated at the annual Lower Makefield Veterans Parade and Commemorative Ceremony to be held on Saturday, Nov. 6th. The parade is scheduled to begin at 1 pm, as long as it is safe to do so, as deemed by the township, and the ceremony begins immediately afterward between 1:45 and 2 pm. Even if there is not a parade, there will be a ceremony, so please mark your calendars. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Operation Desert Storm, which we will commemorate as well. LMT usually holds the parade and ceremony annually on the Saturday prior to Veterans Day. Veterans or active duty military who have lived in either LMT or Yardley can continue to submit names for the Wall of Honor, toward an 11th plaque. It will likely be a few years before we have 90 names to create the plaque.
